Welcome to my home page dear amigo\/amiga! <\/p>\n\n\n\n

I was born and raised in San Luis Potosi, Mexico. A colonial city located in the center of the country. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

At the age of five, I began dance lessons and for 40 years I have been an amateur and professional dancer. My expertise and efforts have been concentrated in Traditional Mexican Folklore<\/em>, Modern Rhythmic Gymnastics, and Contemporary Dance.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Living in Idaho<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

In 1996, I moved to Boise, Idaho and during my time here I believe that I successfully transferred genuine authenticity in my dance performances and teaching to students and the community.
I strive to research and meticulously re-create every aspect of folkloric traditions from their origins. This applies to the music, mechanics of the steps, as well as the costumes and accessories.
Critical to the pupils and audience is that I demonstrate through dance the spirit of centuries-old customs in an eloquent and professional approach.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n

Community<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

While residing in Idaho, I have been instrumental in the formation of the Hispanic Cultural Center, where I served as dance director for five years. I coordinated and participated as Master Instructor for dance workshops throughout Idaho and Oregon. In collaboration with performing arts supporters in the Treasure Valley, I founded The Hispanic Folkloric Dancers of Idaho and The Traditional Mexican Dancers and acted as Artistic Director of both groups. I served as a member of the Idaho-Jalisco Sister-State Committee, acting as Coordinator of Workshops and Performances of the Ballet Folklorico of Jalisco in Idaho.
